The exhibition, which is to be held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, is a tribute to the late McQueens talent as both a fashion designer and artist. The exhibition will include McQueens Central Saint Martins graduate collection through to his final collection, which was shown posthumously in March of this year. In addition, there will be contributions from milliner Philip Treacy, jewellery designer Shaun Leane and Daphne Guinness, who purchased the entirety of Isabella Blows McQueen archive, earlier this year. The exhibition will be open to the public from May 4th July 31st 2011.
