The Coca-Cola light hunks are legendary. How does it feel to be one of them?
- It feels great. I remember seeing these ads growing up and to this day, they are so iconic. Its just the icing on the cake that its also Coca-Cola light’s 30th anniversary!
What has the reaction from your friends and family been?
- They are really happy for me and they love the commercial. There have been the usual jokes, with Coca-Cola light cans everywhere… and I have received a lot of job offers for gardening!
How do you think this opportunity will effect you / your career?
- For the past two years, I have been working hard / studying drama and looking to move into films and TV – so this couldn’t have come at a better time. I love my job but there is a lifespan in it and I am really excited about the move into acting.
Were you aware of the previous ‘hunk’ commercials when you auditioned?
- The one I remember most was the building site with Lucky. It was a really good commercial and a big game changer in terms of gender role play.
What was the experience like, filming the commercial?
- All in all it was such a great experience and I really enjoyed working with Rocky Morton (director), all the people at BETC (advertising agency) and the girls – Hannah, Leanne, Jude, Anelle and April. I really believe its one of the best concepts for an ad and I love the fact that the can plays a central role in the spot and is the connection between me and the girls. I will say though it was a very sticky few days.
What do you think it will be like to have people recognize you on the street?
- I am not someone who really likes attention and spend most of my time with a wooly hat on, so I don’t think I will be getting mobbed.
What are your upcoming plans?
- At the moment besides all the publicity for Coca-Cola light, I am looking through various scripts and doing tapes for pilot season in the United States, its all moving in the right direction and hopefully bigger things to come. Honestly, the timing for the whole thing is perfect. I LOVE COCA-COLA LIGHT!!!!!!
